How to record time (and leaves)

Con EMDESK, puede seguir y registrar el tiempo empleado por los usuarios en elementos de trabajo, por ejemplo, proyectos, tareas y actividades. Encontrará el registro del tiempo en la pestaña "Tiempo" de la sección "Recursos". Todos los registros de tiempo se organizan en la vista de hoja de horas.

Nota:

  • Para registrar su propio tiempo, debe tener al menos derechos de acceso de Lectura a la sección "Recursos" y al menos derechos de acceso de Lectura a las actividades en las que desea anotar el tiempo (consulte "Funciones, niveles de acceso y derechos de acceso").

How to track time

  1. Click Time in Home menu, this will open the "Time" section.
  2. Open the Time sheet view by clicking this icon.

  3. Select the right time week using the navigation arrows at the top to move forth and back through the weeks.

  4. Click on the "Pencil" icon within the cell corresponding to the desired activity and day to log time.

    • Optionally switch to another users (Users with Manage rights to Participant only)
  5. This will open the track time dialog, where you can record time.

    • User: Pre-set according to the timesheet viewed.
    • Activity: Pre-set according to the cell you've chosen, but you can change it by clicking the dropdown.
    • Time: Enter hours and minutes in HH:MM input.
    • Type: Choose "Work time", optionally switch to a leave type from the dropdown to report off time.
    • Date: Pre-set according to the cell you've chosen. Click to change or click the + icon to report time for a period. For period, the hours entered are logged for each day.
    • Note (optional): Enter a note or comment for the time record.
  6. Click Track Time to record a new time record. This entry will be recorded under the chosen activity and day and will also be cumulatively added to the overarching parent activities.


How to report off time (leave)

  1. Click Time in Home menu, this will open the "Time" section.
  2. Open the Time sheet view by clicking this icon.

  3. Select the right time week using the navigation arrows at the top to move forth and back through the weeks.

  4. Click on the "Pencil" icon within the cell corresponding to the desired leave type and day to report off time (a leave).

    • Optionally switch to another users (Users with Manage rights to Participant only)
  5. This will open the track off time dialog, where you can off time.

    • User: Pre-set according to the timesheet viewed.
    • Time: Enter hours and minutes of leave in HH:MM input.
    • Type: Optionally switch the leave type from the dropdown.
    • Date: Pre-set according to the cell you've chosen. Click to change or click the + icon to report off time for a period. For period the hours entered are logged for each day.
    • Note (optional): Enter a note or comment for the off time record.
  6. Click Track Time to record a new off time record. This entry will be recorded under the chosen leave type and day or period.

Delete a time or off time (leave) record

  1. To delete a time record, open the time sheet.
  2. Click on the pencil icon in the cell with the time or off time record. This action will bring up the Track Time dialog.
  3. In the bottom part you will see a list of all time entries for that day. In the year view mode, where each column represents a month, a cell displays the total of all time records for the days within that month. The time dialog will list all these records.
  4. Find the entry you wish to delete, hover over it, and click on the "X" icon.


Note: If you have logged multiple time entries on project and its sub-activities on the same day, each entry will be displayed at the bottom part of the "Track time" dialog. The total hours for these entries will be calculated and displayed as a sum in the timesheet.
